Research Assistant, USC Ischemic Preconditioning and Neural Protection Laboratory: Keck School of Medicine, Anesthesiology Department, March 2010-2011. Assessed the proximate and ultimate causes of neuronal ischemia and how to prevent ischemia using preconditioning. Collaborated with the chairman of Anesthesiology to build a comprehensive understanding of preconditioning from an evolutionary perspective.

Research Assistant, UCLA Gender, Body Image, Relationships, and Genetics Laboratory: Department of Psychology, Los Angeles, March 2008-2011. Our location worked directly with labs in Toronto, Rio De Janero, and South Africa concerning policing and social issues such as prejudice, sexism and homophobia. I input data, helped create ideas and hypotheses for research projects, proposed multiple project ideas including the relationship between police arrest aggressiveness and testosterone levels. Lead a group of 3 research assistants into the San Jose Police Department and ran a large four-day study for which the data was presented to national policy makers and had potential to amend federal policy.

Research Assistant, UCLA MHC and Initial Attraction Project: Department of Psychology, FPR-UCLA Center for Culture, Brain, and Development, Los Angeles, September 2009-2011.
